Not to get too far off the main topic, but more so than spotting DD's, the ability to use rocket planes against them so effectively is the main complaint of those who hate the CV rework. Unless the player wants to simply spam half power level bombers all game ( dropping the first attack in the water to be able to teleport forward for one decent attack ), they are going to be DD hunting the other half of the game.
Most rockets will simply shatter against tier 8-10 BB's or hit already hp depleted areas of the super structure. While the rocket attacks can damage some light cruisers effectively, the powerful dual AA mounted main guns of those light cruisers will discourage those plans. Without torp planes to rotate to, it's going to constantly rotate between rocket fighters and level bombers.
It also means that 1/2 your arsenal is only really effective against DDs. That means half your arsenal is all-but worthless against destroyers. So unless you have godly prediction there's a good chance that any DD you drop those level bombs on will be able to move out of the way in the FOUR SECONDS it takes for them to hit the water. Hold up a second before reporting any falling skies, remember that this is a BRITISH carrier which means no traditional dive-bombers.
